South Cleave Woodland, Ilfracombe. A mixed woodland site, offering glades of meadow between an Oak woodland canopy. We are working with the landowners to provide opportunities for the local community to explore and discover this area of woodland. At this site we are hoping to run sessions for those who home educate (drop off sessions for primary age children) and our Nature Play! outdoor activity sessions for pre-schooler's and their carers. We are hoping to make opportunities to explore nature and develop traditional woodworking skills in the beautiful woodland site, but are also lucky to have areas of the beautiful North Devon Coastline nearby too, where we might meet as an alternative session on the beach! The site is situated on a valley side, so access is quite steep. The site is a short walk from the main road, no access up the lane this is a private drive way. You can reach South Cleave Woodland by foot from the town and there is a number 35 bus stop close by. We would encourage sustainable transport where possible as parking is limited on Higher Slade Road.
