Our schools programme runs out of Wyre Forest in partnership with the Forestry Commission. The postcode for the site is DY14 9XQ. There is coach parking available in the main car park for which there is a daily charge.  Further information on the site and the Forestry Commissions Education Message can be found at www.forestryengland.uk/wyre-forest.

Why choose Wyre?
The Forest is sustainably managed by the Forestry Commission, with a dedicated Education area fenced from public access. There are also over 6000 acres of wider forest used for some of our  activities. The forest has a good network of surfaced, accessible paths, themed trails and orienteering courses.  The Wyre is a mixed semi natural woodland,  with opportunity to explore Broadleaf and Coniferous trees and a wealth of native wildflowers and plants.  The site is managed to provide a range of habitats and opportunities for exploration  from pond dipping to minibeast hunts. There are several covered purpose built fire pits, ample shelter building materials, and the 'Discovery Centre' where groups can get closer to native animals of the forest and discover more about how the forest is managed.
There are two purpose built meeting rooms which are available to hire for lunch and can be used as additional classroom space and a covered picnic area subject to availability on the day of your visit.

Why choose A Breath of Fresh Air?
We aim to deliver exciting, hands on activities that will provide a memorable, forest experience for your group. Choose from a range of curriculum enrichment sessions or we are more than happy to run a bespoke session to meet your needs. All our leaders come from a background of countryside management, education or have experience of delivering outdoor activities to children and young people. All are Forest School Practitioners, with appropriate insurance and DBS checks which you are welcome to view. Above all they bring an enthusiasm to excite, interest and inspire young people,  fostering an appreciation of the natural world and living things.
